    HAVANA

A unique heritage city to enjoy

Havana, supported by a centuries-old history, stands as one of the main strongholds for tourism in Cuba, with attractions ranging from beach offerings to unparalleled cultural richness.

As an excellent tourist destination in Cuba, Havana was considered from its official foundation in November 1519 as an advantageous position for trade and communications, as well as being a faithful exponent of colonial architecture in Cuba.

    BARRIO DEL VEDADO

The Vedado district concentrates the most activity in the city, both day and night, with a tangle of restaurants, nightclubs, nightclubs, cinemas, state institutions, airlines, and hotels.

Considered the heart of the Cuban capital, it takes its name from the prohibitions in the 16th century to open roads in that impenetrable area, covered with forests that obstructed any hostile access to the village of San Cristóbal de La Habana.

The main area of Vedado is La Rampa, five blocks that include among its attractions the famous Hotel Nacional, built on a terrace that was a strategic military enclave in colonial times, as well as the Habana Libre, built 40 years ago.

    EL LUJO DE MIRAMAR

    The Luxury of Miramar

In this area, you will find the most luxurious and expensive hotels and restaurants in Havana. It is home to most of the embassies and large mansions around 5th Avenue, suggesting that it was where the high bourgeoisie of Havana lived.

    OLD HAVANA

The Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana, today Havana, founded in 1519 in what is now the Historic Center, is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Its system of fortifications encompassed nine large constructions to constitute, according to experts, the most notable set of its kind in Hispanic America.

In the Historic Center of Havana, about 800 buildings date back centuries. These represent different styles: Renaissance, Art Deco, Mudejar, Baroque, Neoclassical, Eclectic, Art Nouveau, and Cuban Baroque.

    VARADERO

    Kilometers of paradise beaches

Located at the northernmost point of the island of Cuba, Varadero Beach stretches along the narrow Hicacos Peninsula.

Its 22 kilometers of beach are characterized by a wide strip of fine white sand and a gentle descent from its platform into a sea that encloses an incomparable range of blues, in warm and transparent waters. The founding date of Varadero as a city dates back to December 5, 1887, when ten families settled in the area occupied by the famous resort.

As a summer center, Varadero began to develop in the 1940s, but in the last 10 years, its hotel and extrahotel offer has experienced unprecedented growth, accompanied by the diversification and qualification of its tourist product.

    A Paradise for Diving

The seabed of Varadero has more than 40 types of corals, a variety of fish, lobsters, shrimp, crabs, turtles, and more than 70 types of mollusks. Marinas like Chapelin, Varadero Darsena, and Gaviota guarantee the conditions and means for diving, with suitable boats, trained personnel, diving teaching centers, hyperbaric chambers, and the necessary transportation for any emergency.

Diving in Varadero is highlighted by the so-called Hoyo Azul Ojo del Mégano, a huge cave 70 meters in diameter, where submerged walls, coral reefs, and huge schools of colorful fish prevail.

Also, there is the marine park Cayo Piedras del Norte, the first and only attraction of its kind in existence, covering an area of approximately two square nautical miles. About 14,000 rooms are available for vacationers who come to the place every year, distributed in hotels of two, three, four, and five stars. Many of the hotels in Varadero are managed by foreign companies.

    Tradition and an astonishing landscape

Located in the central-southern region of the island and with a unique tourist product, in which its enormous nautical potential and its rich historical-cultural traditions stand out as fundamental elements, the province of Cienfuegos today constitutes a mandatory transit site for most of the circuits that travel through the country.

    CIENFUEGOS CITY

Cienfuegos stands out for the perfect layout of its streets, the refinement, and good taste of the buildings in the Historic Center, declared a National Monument.

It includes several of the most prominent buildings, such as the Casa del Fundador, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, the Tomás Terry Theater, and the Ferrer Palace, as well as José Martí Park, where the only Triumphal Arch in Cuba stands.

But the city has much more to offer, the Paseo del Prado, the Valle Palace, the Naval and Provincial Historical Museums, and the Reina Cemetery. Further away from the center are the Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles de Jagua Fortress, the Tomás Acea Cemetery, and the Botanical Garden.

In addition to this set of cultural and historical values, around Cienfuegos, the visitor finds suitable scenarios for diving, water sports, nature tourism, and thermal baths.
